In 2010, the 7-seater JAC M5 minivan appeared in the model range of the Chinese manufacturer. The model shares the same platform with the Hyundai Starex, which is why the models are similar in many ways. The designers have slightly redrawn the exterior of the novelty, but the technical part has been left almost identical to the related model.

TECH SPECS:

The running gear and suspension of the JAC M5 2010 are identical to the Hyundai sibling. The suspension is double-wishbone at the front, and a multi-link design is used at the rear. The braking system is combined: there are discs in front, and drums in the back.

For the new minivan, there are two powertrain options. The first is a 1.9-liter turbodiesel. The second is an atmospheric petrol "four" of 2.0 liters. Engines require a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission.
