Lifan is a car brand founded in 1992 and owned by a large Chinese company. The headquarters is located in the Chinese city of Chongqing. Initially, the company was called Chongqing Hongda Auto Fittings Research Center and the main occupation was the repair of motorcycles. The company has only 9 employees. After, she was already engaged in the production of motorcycles. The company developed rapidly, and in 1997 ranked 5th in China in terms of motorcycle production and was renamed Lifan Industry Group. The expansion took place not only in the state and branches, but also in the areas of activity: from now on, the company specialized in the production of scooters, motorcycles, and in the near future - trucks, buses and cars. In a short period of time, the company already had 10 production plants. The manufactured goods gained popularity in China, and then at the global level.

The first production of trucks and buses took place in 2003, and a couple of years later it was already producing cars, when the company managed to secure its status in the world market. Technological progress played a big role. Thus, the improvement of working conditions, improvement of product quality, its modernization - led to a huge breakthrough in the company's production.

Today, the company owns a large-scale network of car centers around the world - about 10 thousand car dealerships. In the CIS countries, Lifan Motors has gained particular popularity, and in 2012 an official office of the company was opened in Russia. After a couple of years, in Russia, the company charge a priority position and became the best Chinese auto manufacturer.

Strong and solid growth has propelled Lifan Motors into the top 50 of the best private enterprises in China, exporting its production all over the world. The founder of the company is Yin Mingshan. The biography of a person who has achieved a high rank in the global auto industry dates back to the 90s of the last century. Yin Mingshan was born in 1938 in the Chinese province of Sichuan. Yin Mingshan had capitalist political views, for which he paid with seven years in labor camps during the Cultural Revolution. For all his time, he changed many working areas. He had a goal - his own business. And he managed to achieve it during the market reforms in China. Initially, he opened his own workshop, which specialized in the repair of motorcycles. The staff was insignificant, mainly the Mingshan family. Prosperity grew rapidly, the status of the enterprise changed, which soon grew to a global company. At this stage, Yin Mingshan is the chairman of the Lifan Group, as well as the president of Chinese motorcycle manufacturers.

History of the automotive brand

The first car models were the assembly of cars under the license of the Mitsubishi and Honda brands.

Actually, the first cars of the company were produced in 2005, this was facilitated by the conclusion of an agreement with the Japanese company Daihatsu the day before.

The improved version of the model above is the 2009 Breez. With an upgraded engine displacement to 1.6 and a power of 106 horsepower, which contributed to the development of speeds up to 170 km / h.

Increasingly attracting an audience of the world market, the company took on a new goal - the production of trucks and buses under its own brand, and starting in 2010, a project was organized for the production of military SUVs, which is the Lifan X60 based on the Toyota Rav4. Both models are presented as four-door compact SUVs, but the first model is front-wheel drive only. The power unit has four cylinders and holds 1.8 liters.

Lifan Cebrium saw the world in 2014. The four-door sedan is very practical and functional. 1.8 liter four cylinder engine. The car can accelerate to 100 km in 13.5 seconds, and the maximum speed reaches 180 km / h. Not only that, this car received a suspension with stabilizers at the rear and front from Mc Pherson. In 2015, an improved version of the Lifan X60 was introduced, and in 2017, the Lifan “MyWay” SUV debuted with a five-door body and compact dimensions and a modern, attractive design. The company does not stop there, there are still a number of unfinished projects (the priority is sedan cars and SUVs), which will soon enter the global car market.
