History of the Buick car brand

Buick Motor Decision is the oldest American car manufacturer. The headquarters is located in Flint. It is also a division of the General Motors concern. Manufactured exports are in high demand in the North American and Chinese markets.

The history of the company's creation dates back to the last century, when the Scottish-born American industrialist David Buick set about creating an internal combustion engine. Owning at that time a plumbing company on the right of joint activity with a partner, he decided to sell his share to him. The amount received from the sale went to the creation of a new company to implement his idea. And in 1909 he created the Buick Motor Car Company, which specialized in the production of power units for agricultural machinery.

He worked on the development of internal combustion engines in parallel with his colleague Marr, and by 1901 the first successful project in the form of a car was invented, which was acquired by a Buick acquaintance for $ 300.

The development of the subsequent production put Buick in financial difficulties and prompted him to take out a loan from a colleague Briscoe, who was making tools for the company. Briscoe, in turn, delivered an ultimatum decision to Buick, according to which the latter was obliged to reorganize the company, where almost the entire block of shares belonged to Briscoe under creditor terms. Now Briscoe has taken over as director, and Buick has become his deputy.

In 1904 the company was sold to the American industrialist Whiting, where Buick no longer held positions in the directorate.

In 1908, the automobile company became part of General Motor.

Production is focused on low-cost models of the same type of middle class cars.
