Electric motorcycle: the market is not ready for Suzuki

Judging by the fact that the technology is too expensive compared to thermal, Suzuki believes that the market is not ready to develop an electric motorcycle.

KTM, Harley Davidson, Kawasaki ... while more and more universal brands are interested in electrics, Suzuki seems to be in no hurry to take the plunge. If he confirms “working on technology,” the Japanese brand believes that the market is not yet ready for mass development.

« The cost of acquisition versus diesel locomotives continues to be of concern. When the buyer is ready, Suzuki will hit the market because it already has the technology. Devashish Handa, Vice President in charge of the Indian division of the brand, explained in an interview with Financial Express.

In other words, Suzuki considers this technology too expensive and customers are reluctant to switch to electricity. Good news for the likes of Zero Motorcycles who will be able to solidify their lead over the versatile brands.
