BMW iX3 electric car with special wheels

Increase mileage from charging to charging by 10 km compared to regular

BMW will equip the iX3 electric crossover with special wheels to increase autonomous mileage without recharging.

The BMW Aerodynamic Wheel technology uses special aerodynamic overlays on standard alloy wheels – thanks to the fairings, air resistance is reduced by 5% and energy consumption by 2%. Wheels increase range from charge to charge by 10 km compared to conventional wheels. The new wheels are also 15% lighter than previous BMW aero wheels.

Plastic linings can be chosen in different colors with different surface coatings, which will allow buyers of electric vehicles to customize their cars on wheels.

The first production model with BMW Aerodynamic Wheel technology will be the BMW iX3, which will be released in 2020, and then other electric vehicles - BMW iNext and BMW i4, which will premiere in 2021, will receive the same wheels. ,
