Driving on mountain roads and on steep descents
28.1
On mountain roads and steep descents, where oncoming traffic is difficult, the driver of a vehicle moving on a descent must give way to vehicles moving on an ascent.
28.2
On mountain roads and steep descents, a truck driver, the permissible maximum mass of which exceeds 3,5 tons, of a tractor and a bus must:
a) | use special mountain brakes if they are installed on the vehicle by the manufacturer; |
b) | when stopping or parking on ascents and descents, use wheel chocks. |
28.3
On mountain roads it is forbidden:
a) | move with the engine off and the clutch or gear disengaged; |
b) | flexible towing; |
at) | any towing during icy conditions. |
