24.1.
The movement of cyclists over the age of 14 years must be carried out along the bicycle, bicycle paths or lane for cyclists.

24.2.
Allowed the movement of cyclists over the age of 14 years:

on the right edge of the carriageway - in the following cases:

  • there are no bicycle and bicycle paths, a lane for cyclists or there is no possibility to move along them;

  • the overall width of the bicycle, trailer to it or the cargo carried exceeds 1 m;

  • the movement of cyclists is carried out in columns;

  • on the side of the road - if there are no bicycle and bicycle paths, a lane for cyclists, or there is no possibility to move along them or along the right edge of the carriageway;

on the sidewalk or footpath - in the following cases:

  • there are no bicycle and bicycle paths, a lane for cyclists or there is no possibility to move along them, as well as on the right edge of the roadway or roadside;

  • a cyclist accompanies a cyclist under the age of 14 or carries a child under the age of 7 on an extra seat, in a bicycle stroller or in a trailer designed for use with a bicycle.

24.3.
The movement of cyclists aged 7 to 14 years should be carried out only along sidewalks, pedestrian, bicycle and bicycle paths, as well as within pedestrian zones.

24.4.
The movement of cyclists under the age of 7 years should be carried out only on sidewalks, pedestrian and bicycle paths (on the side for pedestrian traffic), as well as within pedestrian zones.

24.5.
When cyclists move along the right edge of the carriageway in cases provided for by these Rules, cyclists must only move in one row.

Movement of a column of cyclists in two rows is allowed if the overall width of the bikes does not exceed 0,75 m.

The column of cyclists must be divided into groups of 10 cyclists in the case of a single-lane movement or into groups of 10 pairs in the case of a two-lane movement. To facilitate overtaking, the distance between groups should be 80 - 100 m.

24.6.
If the movement of the cyclist along the sidewalk, pedestrian walkway, roadside or within the pedestrian zones endangers or interferes with the movement of others, the cyclist must dismount and be guided by the requirements provided for in these Rules for pedestrian traffic.

24.7.
Moped drivers must move along the right edge of the carriageway in one row or along a lane for cyclists.

Moped riders on the side of the road are allowed if this does not interfere with pedestrians.

24.8.
Cyclists and moped riders are prohibited from:

  • manage a bicycle, a moped without holding at least one hand at the wheel;

  • to transport cargo that protrudes more than 0,5 m in length or width beyond the dimensions, or cargo that interferes with management;

  • carry passengers, if it is not provided for by the design of the vehicle;

  • to transport children under 7 years old in the absence of specially equipped places for them;

  • turn left or turn on roads with tram traffic and on roads with more than one lane for driving in this direction (except when the left lane is allowed from the right lane, and with the exception of roads in bicycle zones);

  • move on the road without a helmet fastened (for moped drivers);

  • cross the road at pedestrian crossings.

24.9.
It is forbidden to tow bicycles and mopeds, as well as tow bicycles and mopeds, except for towing a trailer designed for use with a bicycle or moped.

24.10.

24.11.
In the bicycle zone:

  • cyclists have priority over power-driven vehicles, and can also move across the entire width of the carriageway intended for movement in this direction, subject to the requirements of paragraphs 9.1 (1) - 9.3 and 9.6 - 9.12 of these Rules;

  • pedestrians are allowed to cross the carriageway anywhere, subject to the requirements of paragraphs 4.4 - 4.7 of these Rules.
