Test drive Citröen Nemo

Citroën, in collaboration with Peugeot and Fiat, has introduced a small van called the Nemo. The largest fish, Citroën, is only 3 meters long and, with a short length (about the same as the C86), belongs to the hierarchy of the Berling, Jumpy and Jumper houses. Since its turning radius is less than ten meters, it is very manoeuvrable and therefore intended primarily for (small) urban traffic.

With a luggage compartment, mostly 2 cubic meters in size, which can be expanded to an enviable 5 m2 with the folding (and deepening) passenger seat (which helps to carry things up to 8 meters long), it will reign above all else. in the parking lots of small artisans. It has a lifting capacity of 3kg, and for easier loading or unloading, it has a sliding door (at extra cost on both sides) and a double-leaf rear door that can be easily opened 2 degrees.

At the international presentation, we were pleasantly surprised by the attractiveness of the phenomenon, and especially by the announced price. For ten thousand euros you cannot count on prestige, but you can get a reliable and durable interior that serves as basic equipment. In the Nemo you can find a well-adjustable driver's seat (and a completely fixed passenger!) And an adjustable steering wheel (power steering as standard), in addition to automatic locking and standard ABS, you can also install four airbags, parking sensors, cruise control. control, Bluetooth installation, etc.

After the first kilometers, we were only worried about the stiffer chassis, otherwise it was a pleasure to ride on the loaded one. For those who enjoy driving outside the urban jungle, Citroën also offers a version of the Worksite Pack, which with a more tuned chassis, 15-inch wheels, under-engine protection and looks keeps you in a good mood even on unkempt tracks. ... Since Nemo is primarily designed for work, service is also important. Citroen boasted that it needs to be serviced every 30 miles or every two years.

With French Fish, you can only choose between two 1-liter engines, the HDi turbo diesel or the four-cylinder petrol engine. Unfortunately, we were only able to test the version that smells like gas oil. However, we can confirm that 4 "horses" is enough to easily chase fast traffic flows. However, at least for now, you cannot opt for a more powerful engine that would give the Nemo the ability to overtake even when fully loaded, and an automatic transmission that would make city driving easier. A five-speed manual transmission was announced that does not require the driver to use the clutch, but only in the second half of 70 and only for the HDi version. For now, all you have to do is be content with a classic five-speed manual transmission.

The name of the cartoon and the ridiculous price does not mean that Citroen is joking with Nemo. Namely, both craftsmen and artisans turned to him, which for couriers is more an exception than a rule. Isn't this a joke with pets ...
