At the 2016 Shanghai Auto Show, the BYD automaker unveiled the Yuan youth model. The designers decided to deviate a little from the generally accepted concept (to attach the brand label on the radiator grille) and instead of the company logo placed the model name in front. In addition to the external extravagance, the car is also interesting for the technical component.

TECH SPECS:

There are several options in the line of motors. The first is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine that is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The second unit is of identical volume, but already equipped with a turbocharger, thanks to which it is able to pull the 6-speed mechanics already.

The model also received a hybrid version. The main unit is the aforementioned naturally aspirated 1.5-liter variant. It is enhanced by the operation of two electric motors, which are mounted on the rear wheels. The power plant allows you to turn off the internal combustion engine and move only on electric traction. In this version, the car becomes rear-wheel drive.
