The all-electric crossover of the second generation BYD Tang EV appeared at the end of winter 2019. The exterior design combines solidity, aesthetics and sporty aggressiveness at the same time. The front bumper and grille pattern have been changed. The rear and sides of the car retained the features of the hybrid analog of the same model year.

Previously, many of the company's electric vehicles were driven by a single electric motor. There are two such units in this model. Each of them is installed on the front and rear axles, thanks to which the car received four-wheel drive without wasting energy for the operation of the transfer case and differential.
The motors are powered by a single lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 82.8 kWh. It is located under the floor of the car interior. Despite the seeming awkwardness, the crossover can give odds to some modern sports cars. The car exchanges the first hundred for 4.4 seconds. According to the manufacturer, the power reserve, depending on the driving mode, can reach 600 kilometers.
In addition to the all-wheel drive modification, the buyer can order a more modest version with one motor and front axle drive.
