In the spring of 2016, an electric model of a class D sedan was presented at the Beijing Motor Show. The car was named BYD Qin EV300. The already existing BYD Qin was taken as the basis for creating an electric car. In addition to modernizing the technical part of the car, the designers have slightly modified the body style. The presence of an electric drive is indicated by a special blue element near the brand label. The cutout for the exhaust pipe has disappeared on the rear bumper.
