In 2010, the Chinese manufacturer introduced a full-fledged electric crossover BYD e6. After the first demonstration in 2008, the design of the car was refined several times, so it is somewhat different from the prototype. The model was first tested in an urban environment in a taxi mode. All 50 copies have traveled more than two million kilometers in a year, and at the same time did not require serious repair work, and their characteristics were preserved.

The dynamics of the crossover is not sporty, but sufficient for a modern urban regime. It accelerates from zero to hundreds in 8 seconds. An iron-phosphate battery, developed by the manufacturer, is installed under the floor. On a single charge, the car can travel up to 300 kilometers.

The car has an energy recovery system that generates electricity when braking or driving downhill. The 100 kW charging station can charge the battery in just 40 minutes.

EQUIPMENT

The basic equipment of the car is very modest. It includes front airbags, child seat mountings, standard audio, power windows and air conditioning. For a surcharge, the car can receive a small package of electronic assistants and additional airbags.
