Outstanding wet handling and rolling resistance

Bridgestone, the world's largest tire and rubber company, is introducing the Turanza T005 premium touring tire for "total control over your journey, even on a rainy day."

Designed and manufactured in Europe, the Bridgestone Turanza T005 is incredibly efficient on wet surfaces and provides fuel economy combined with high mileage, giving drivers complete control in challenging everyday situations, especially on rainy days.

The Bridgestone Turanza T005 has been available in a wide range on the European market since January 2018 and replaces the current T001 EVO. The offered sizes of the Turanza T005 will provide almost full coverage of the demand for "touring" tires from 2019 with more than 140 wheel sizes from 14 to 21 inches. At the same time, Bridgestone will simplify the range of touring tires and the Turanza T005 and DriveGuard will cover the entire touring segment.

The Bridgestone Turanza T005 has already been selected for initial installation by leading car brands and will be on the road in the coming months.

Stefano Parisi, Regional Executive Director of Bridgestone Europe, Southern Region, sums up: “The new Turanza T005 Premium touring tire is a key product in Bridgestone's portfolio with significantly high demand coverage. There were no compromises during development: we analyzed the needs of users very carefully and then created a tire that met these expectations. Bridgestone Turanza T005 allows the driver to control the car better, especially on wet roads. »

Full control over your ride, even on a rainy day

Bridgestone calls end users "BOSS" and BOSS is the design inspiration for the Bridgestone Turanza T005. During production, Bridgestone surveyed thousands of premium tire consumers across Europe to determine their needs and expectations for touring tires, as well as the challenges they face in everyday driving.

The implications are clear: Buyers of premium tires need a tire that feels safe and fun to drive. They want a tire that gives them complete control in tough everyday situations, especially on rainy days. And a tire that also gives them good fuel economy and mileage.

The Bridgestone Touring Tranza T005 lives up to all these expectations. It is a tire that allows you to keep driving with complete control in adverse conditions, especially on wet roads, from highway turns to unexpected stops in urban conditions.

Turanza T005: excellent performance on wet surfaces, certified by TÜV SÜD

Turanza T005 offers drivers the best of the European A-class on wet surfaces and exceptionally good abrasion resistance class B. The selected sizes in the range ensure the efficiency class A / A.

Best-in-class traction and wet braking have been tested and certified by TÜV SÜD, one of the most respected independent automotive testing institutes in Europe.

To achieve this high performance, Bridgestone engineers have created a premium wet floor package with materials and tread design. Thick block slots and a distribution of cavities in the center of the tread help to achieve highly efficient water drainage. Using a new blending technology, Bridgestone NanoPro-Tech special polymer is blended with a high silica content for maximum wear, wet grip and fuel economy.

Internal Bridgestone testing confirms the overall performance improvement of the Turanza T005 over the current Turanza T001 EVO with a 10% increase in service life, meeting and exceeding driver expectations, with significantly improved cornering and braking performance on wet roads. on dry surfaces and abrasion resistance.
