BMW 650i

Why do I say that? Because I always answered only "harsh as a dog" (in a good way of thinking), and everyone understood this (even in a good way) in an instant.

But a little more about the 650i. First the dilemma: yes or no? I say: you sit in it and understand why you (if you) deducted all this money; thin, short, muscular, elegant on the outside (but not beautiful for everyone), but similar on the inside, but at the same time loaded with technology, outstanding ergonomics, excellent materials and an uncompromising sense of prestige. But I also say: is his image and technique really worth the money?

Under the hood is a serious animal, okay, it's not a Ferrari, it's not a Porsche, it's not a Maserati, but it's still a stable that requires a lot of time and an experienced driver to say: well, now my "horse" is not enough. You perform a little around the city, I don’t even know how childish, but the data in the meters scare 34 liters per 100 km. But who would not - chic motor basses appear more or less only in the city. But ... For some, they, otherwise, pleasantly suffocate, over time they still get bored. The sad truth is that a 20-year-old man can't afford it, and a 55-year-old man no longer feels engine noise.

BMW is the most predictable car in Europe: from a practical point of view, it's hard to say anything new about it, because (apart from appearance) they are very similar to each other - inside; look at the iDrive, exactly the same as the series 1, look at the gauges with the info system, look like hair, maybe the center screen is a little bigger, well, what function is more in the selector and gear lever... Even the buttons are basically the same. There is nothing wrong with this, but it confirms the predictability. And this gives confidence that the next BMW will be no worse. Starting with ergonomics.

A little about the situation on the road: it turned out over and over again that the 5/6 series is the most dynamically balanced (statically, everyone has a 50:50 weight distribution), that is, with torque on the wheels, with stabilization, system shutdown and driver work on the steering wheel ... It is easiest to control the accelerator and steering wheel when cornering when the rear drive wheels are skidding, as the feel of how much the rear wheels are slipping is very good. But I ask again: is this technique really needed for this? I remember the Mustang ...

Yes, rear-wheel drive is great fun, with well-tamed electronics, but in the snow with a quick start, four-wheel drive (say, from neighbors a little higher than Munich) is still much faster. But in our country such a need is really very rare. However, on wet and dry roads, an excellent mechanical and electronic calibration with all settings (again: are all of them really necessary?) no longer shows any disadvantages, and sometimes even advantages.

And a suggestion for usability. They sell it with four nice looking seats, but they forget about them as they are completely useless. There is less and less space in the (some) Bimwys in the back. There are no rear-adjustable vents, sockets, drawers ... Well, there are not so many drawers in the front either, but forget about it; BMW, especially the 650i, sells everything else.

Little space, but lots of technology and images. It costs a little less than 150 thousand here.

evaluation

  • If someone knows how to use at least 75 percent of the offered mechanics (engine, drive), and if they really make that money, then we can really afford such a BMW with all our hearts. Otherwise, entertainment can also be much cheaper and just as good.
