Irresponsibility on the road - how not to be a bad driver?

Each driver will meet sooner or later on his route irresponsible road user. It is not a problem if such a meeting ends with the usual “blowing up” of the victim. Much worse if misconduct by another driver will result in an impact or collision. The grim truth is clear from the 2015 police reports - the human being is the number one cause of accidents. Of all road users (both drivers and passengers, pedestrians and others) in Drivers are to blame for 85,7% of the situation. Can this be avoided? What behavior poses the greatest threat?

It can happen to anyone

There are no infallible people. Even the top driver sometimes makes a minor mistake - will not notice the oncoming car, forcing priority, park crookedly or forget to signal the maneuver being performed. Any of these seemingly everyday situations can lead to an accident, so they shouldn't happen at all. Unfortunately, you will not be able to identify a person who has not committed at least one of the above violations at least once during his "career" as a driver.

We usually make nasty mistakes on the roads of another city. And although we rationally justify ourselves in such situations (“I don’t know why they are buzzing”), otherwise we very rarely show tolerance to foreign cars.

And how often is it passing an unknown intersection, we will not notice information about a change in the organization of traffic and "jump" from lane to lane at the last minute, creating a dangerous situation? Can you call yourself bad drivers?

Mistakes made inadvertently are just as serious, for example, made on purpose, but, fortunately, they are much less common. Worse, if someone deliberately drives irresponsibly and takes pride in their behavior. This is usually associated with high speed and reckless behavior.

By browsing online forums and talking to different drivers, it's easy to see which traffic situations are the most annoying and dangerous. • right of way not respected - This is one of the most dangerous manifestations of behavior on the road. Drivers often leave the secondary street they deliberately drive cars on the road riding according to the rules. • inconsistency of speed with road conditions is another extremely dangerous behavior that contributes to a huge number of accidents. Unfortunately, with high speeds, the consequences of road collisions can be dramatic... As statistics show, the police, precisely because of speeding, is the most frequent cause of fatal accidents.
  
• inappropriate behavior towards a pedestrian - here are the most common situations prohibition of the passage of pedestrians at crossings and unauthorized maneuvers within crossings (for example, overtaking or bypassing a pedestrian vehicle, etc.). All situations with a car are dangerous for a pedestrian, as he has no chance of colliding with a vehicle.
  

My fault or yours?

Even if we try not to commit the aforementioned offenses and believe that we are exemplary drivers, we always do other road users must be taken into account. We will also take care of the condition of our car. Effective lighting and brakes are absolutely essential, especially during the fall / winter season. Pedestrians without glare walking on an unlit road are generally invisible. Why is it worth being a good driver?

• good driver = cheaper driver - here it must be emphasized that driving well not only does not pay fines, but also your car burns less... A smooth ride is simply environmentally friendly and good for our car's engine.
• good driver = healthier driver - Improved driving skills. We pride ourselves on being good. And even if you don't take pride in a good ride, it certainly is. you feel less stress when you drive more calmly and in an orderly manner... If, in addition, your favorite music is playing in the car, your body relaxes and allows you to get rid of everyday stress,
• good driver = well maintained car – A good driver is not only a person who drives a car intelligently. it's the same an owner who takes care of his car on a daily basis... Washing, waxing, replacement of working fluids and checking the condition of other components of the car are the duties of a good driver, who thereby makes his car in good condition and safer.
