Test drive Bentley Continental GTC: pure pleasure

Highly polished noble wood panels, an abundance of the finest leather, exquisite metal details, and the highest quality of workmanship - in the face of the open version of the Continental with the additional GTC designation, Bentley has created another masterpiece destined to become a classic from the moment it entered the automotive arena.

The Continental GTC is a status symbol that, however, can only be fully understood by the connoisseur, and unlike a Maybach or a Rolls-Royce, it is not meant to make passers-by feel envious. With a price of 200 euros, the car with a positive cannot be called affordable, but compared to its older brother Azure, the price almost looks like a share. Moreover, this model has practically no competitors in its price segment - in today's automotive industry, few can compete with the Continental GTC in terms of nobility and sophistication.

The soft top, designed by Karmann, opens and closes at speeds up to 30 kilometers per hour. Removing it leads to a pleasant breeze in the hair of passengers, which does not become unpleasant even at temperatures of about 10 degrees Celsius, and while driving, the appearance of a strong air flow is prevented by an elegant aluminum aerodynamic deflector.

650 newton-meters pulling a 2,5-ton convertible as if the laws of physics did not exist

The power reserves of this version of the Continental seem literally inexhaustible, and the transmission is even equipped with a function to "skip" each of the six gears. All-wheel drive with Torsen differential (a system borrowed from Audi) delivers monstrous power to the road perfectly smoothly with confidence equal to that of an armored military vehicle. Suffice it to say that even at a speed of 300 km / h, the GTC follows the highway trajectory just as safely as the shooting trains ...

However, like everything in this world, this car is not without flaws - for example, its navigation system is no longer completely updated, and its control is not optimal, and the electronics are sometimes carried away by unreasonable warnings, such as those available. about non-existent errors in the roof mechanism. However, after a vivid impression of this amazing machine, it is not difficult to understand the boss of the brand, Ulrich Eichhorn, who, after a test drive in the deserts of California, asked the engineers working on the project whether they define the time spent as work or, rather, as a productive vacation. As you can see from the end result, it was more like the latter, and the creators of the Continental GTC deserve congratulations on a brilliant job.
