Audi Q5 will receive a modification of the Q5 coupe
After creating the Q3 Sportback coupe-crossover, Audi decided to introduce a similar modification to the larger Q5. And such a car - Q5 Sportback, has already begun road testing. Based on the Q3 and Q3 Sportback pairs, one would predict that the Q5 Sportback would keep the original's wheelbase only slightly lower and probably slightly longer.
The standard Q5 has a two-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 245 hp, two hybrid versions (299 and 367 hp), diesel units 2.0 and 3.0 (from 163 to 347 hp), including "hot". SQ5 TDI.
Visually, the Q5 Sportback builds on the usual Q5 update that the Germans have yet to unveil.
It's worth noting that an update to the regular Q5 is expected in the coming months. Obviously, all of its new elements, from redesigned headlights to an improved infotainment system with a ten-inch display, will be given to the Sportback crossover. They can even be presented to the general public together. From the original Audi Q5, the coupe body modification will also borrow the engine line-up, although perhaps not quite. But in any case, earlier representatives of the company hinted at a hybrid version of the coupe-crossover. All in all, there should be a competitor to the BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe in Ingolstadt.
A camouflaged Sportback was spotted near the Q plant, the FAW-Volkswagen plant in Changchun, where the crossover will be produced side-by-side with the Audi Q5L from September.
The Audi Q5 Sportback will hit the Chinese market in November. In theory, it will not differ much from the updated Q5 for Europe. The spy photos show that the Singleframe grille and front bumper are more or less the same, but the headlights are different. The crossover coupe will receive a TFSI 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder petrol turbo engine, which is installed on the Audi Q5L. It is equipped with the EA888 engine, which works in conjunction with the seven-speed S tronic robotic transmission, and develops power of 190 hp, 320 Nm or 252 hp, 390 Nm. Quattro all-wheel drive is standard.
