Audi is preparing a competitor to the BMW X4
Chinese portal AutoHome has published spy photos of a test mule on a cross-fuselage Audi Q5 without any camouflage. The premiere of the model will take place at the Beijing Auto Show, which starts on September 26.
The crossover is built on an elongated Q5 platform and will be sold under the name Q5L Sportbask. Judging by the photo, the car will differ from the European version of the model not only in size, but also in the design of the front end.
In China, the Q5L Sportbask is expected to be offered in 40 TFSI and 45 TFSI versions with a 2,0-liter turbo engine with 190 and 252 hp combined with a seven-stage turbocharger. The crossover will compete with the BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLS Cope.
