Abarth, like Ferrari, originated as a sports team that prepared racing cars, mainly Fiat and Lancia, and is famous for its sporting successes, preparation and very noisy exhaust systems.
Based Carlo Abarth (Italo-Austrian engineer) in 1949 he dropped out of the touring championships with his very fast Fiat 500. Since 2007 Abarth is a real brand (owned by FCA) that produces sports cars based on FIAT models.

Abarth 124 Spider
Based on Fiat Spider, model Abarth 124 Spider inherits its engine 1.4 turbo, but with 170 hp. instead of 140. The thrust is rear, and the scorpion version still has a limited slip differential to increase traction.
The exterior dates back to 124 rally Spiders from the 70s with a long black hood marked with air intakes and racing alloy wheels.
The six-speed manual transmission is pleasant to handle, but for those looking for more comfort, there is also an automatic (again with six speeds). Mazdawhich takes away a bit of fun.
